Matthew G. Wells - Marietta, GA

Matthew G. Wells, a native of Albany, Kentucky, graduated from Lindsey Wilson College in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Emphasis in Accounting. He then attended Lincoln Memorial University, Duncan School of Law in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he honed his legal skills.

In April 2025, Matthew joined MIJS as a member of the firm’s litigation department. His practice primarily focuses on workers’ compensation defense. With a background in general practice and criminal defense (former Kentucky public defender), Matthew is a dedicated advocate for his clients’ interests. He is admitted to practice in the states of Kentucky and Tennessee.

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys being outdoors -- hiking and farming in Kentucky with his wife, Paige, tennis, and travel. He’s an active church member, enjoys taking part in pro-bono legal help clinics, learning languages (Intermediate in Russian), and he is a Kentucky basketball fan.
