Hired Law firm 2017-2022The only thing this law firm does quickly is send invoices. So do not use them if you want someone proactive and knowledgeable. The only “advising” that was done pointed us completely in the wrong direction, subsequently tacking on almost three additional years to our case and adding thousands of dollars to their pockets. We had to reach out multiple time over the last 12 months and did not hear anything back until the court requested an update. I wonder if we have a year to pay the invoice since it took a year to get the lawyer to every respond to us? EXTREMELY displeased with the lack of communication from the lawyer. Due to her non-responsiveness, she is now costing us a substantial amount of money. Unacceptable. Looking into GASB violation of rules of client communication. Bottom line- find someone else.

Hired Law firm 2019I am very pleased with the professionalism and attention to detail of the law office, also they have a great concern for you personally. I would recommend this law firm to anyone in need of professionalism and concern at it's best. Meghan and Laura represented thier law firm with such integrity and would highly recommend them and would use their service's again.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
