Overview
Anna was born and raised in Metro-Atlanta to South Korean immigrant parents. She graduated from The Lovett School and went on to attend the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. She later transferred to Georgia State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. She then attended Georgia State University's College of Law, where she earned a Juris Doctorate.
While in law school, Anna was selected to participate in the nationally and internationally recognized Health Law Partnership ("HeLP") Clinic. The HeLP Clinic is a partnership between Georgia State University's College of Law, Children's a Healthcare of Atlanta, and Atlanta Legal Aid Society, serving Atlanta's low-income population. During her time with the HeLP Clinic, Anna advocated on behalf of students who were denied individualized education plans ("IEPs"). She proposed different IEPs for different students and successfully petitioned an Atlanta public school board to put in place the appropriate IEPs for each student.
Throughout her law school career, Anna also worked for an Atlanta law firm that specializes in catastrophic personal injury cases, as well as, an attorney in North Carolina, who specializes in corporate defense. She extensively worked on all aspects of plaintiff personal injury cases and assisted in a wide variety of defense work, from defending small businesses to a publicly-traded energy company.
She enjoys spending time with her dogs, cooking, woodworking, and welding. She has built theater sets, utilizing both her woodworking and welding skills, for The Lovett School and University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
