Attorney Information

Overview

Harriet Isenberg, founding principal of Isenberg & Hewitt, passed away on January 3, 2024. As a native Atlantan, she grew up in Buckhead. In 1985, she was admitted to the Georgia Bar after attending Atlanta Law School at night while working full-time.

Over the course of her adult life, Harriet worked in various fields including teaching, banking, real estate and law. She served as General Counsel for Globe Security and later co-founded Isenberg & Hewitt where she practiced with her then husband, Melvin L. Hewitt, Jr. and later her son Ryan Isenberg. She was a dedicated member of the Commercial Law League of America and played a pivotal role in shaping creditor's rights legislation in Georgia.

Harriet’s dedication, expertise and leadership were instrumental in shaping our firm. We remain committed to providing exceptional legal services and we will work tirelessly to honor Harriet’s legacy.
