Overview
David was born in Denver, Colorado, and raised in Augusta, Georgia. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia with a degree in Business Administration and earned his J.D. cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law.
In law school, David was a member of the Moot Court team, where he drafted and argued appellate issues. He also participated in the Criminal Law Society and the Criminal Defense Practicum, working with the Western Circuit Public Defender’s Office in Clarke and Oconee County Superior Courts for three semesters.
David gained additional experience during his summers as a judicial intern with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia and as a law clerk with Wiggins Casto Barrow, PC. In these roles, he conducted legal research, drafted opinions, prepared trial materials, and assisted in courtroom proceedings. Before law school, David worked with Kimbrough Law in Athens, Georgia, where he drafted wills, powers of attorney, advance directives, and other estate planning documents.
Beyond his legal work, David has served his community through the Athens YMCA as a basketball coach and after-school counselor. He is married to his wife, Andrea, and they are active members of Athens Church.
