Attorney Information

Overview

Mary Byers McKillip brings compassionate care to her clients, paired with disciplined strategy and advocacy. A Florida native, she grew up in Jacksonville and attended The Bolles School before earning her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Following graduation, she spent several years working with the UNC men’s basketball program under legendary coach Dean Smith as an academic advisor—an experience that shaped her approach to leadership and a role that required consistent performance in high-pressure, highly visible environments. She later pursued her legal career, graduating with honors from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2000.

Mary practices law with an unwavering commitment to her clients’ interests. She lives with her husband Doug and their three sons. Outside the office, she can usually be found hiking with her dog, Echo.
