Hired Law firm 2024-2025I would strongly discourage anyone from using Nicole Cummings as a parenting coordinator, especially in a high-conflict case. She was shockingly ineffective, unnecessarily expensive, and seemed to make conflict worse rather than helping resolve it. The only useful thing she accomplished was approving my daughter’s attendance at a swim camp she wanted to attend - a camp I was already fully willing to pay for myself. The camp cost $900. My share of Nicole’s fees was over $5,000. She seemed far more focused on prolonging conflict than solving it. One clear example of her incompetence was accusing me of failing to provide travel notifications. I had sent those notifications through Our Family Wizard directly to the other parent. Nicole incorrectly assumed that because she had access to OFW, she automatically saw every message, even though she was not copied on them. Instead of verifying the facts, she made false assumptions and repeated that misinformation in court, under oath, as though it were true. A parenting coordinator should be neutral, competent, and focused on the child’s best interests. My experience was the exact opposite. It felt like she profited from prolonging conflict rather than resolving it, turning an already difficult co-parenting situation into an even more expensive and frustrating one. Fortunately, Judge Brown saw through it and ultimately ordered her removal.

Hired Law firm 2025Nicole falsifies court documents and lies on behalf of the state. She is a liability and ethically compromised.

Hired Law firm 2021-2023If you love far from neutral biased decisions, long delays, and being treated like a child - Nicole is the attorney for you! When asked questions about the actual law she's "not too sure", but she is happy to make her decisions based solely on whichever parent she likes better. Hopefully you are the winner bc if not - you are screwed!

Hired Law firm 2019Nicole Cummings gave my ex. Whom forced court. Forced mediator. All of which cost money. We mediated with a woman whom I believe has kids. And she’s prob single. She then gave my ex Monday’s and fridays. And proceeded to not specify the little holidays. So every holiday my ex gets. Labor Day. Kamehameha day. 4th of July’s. Independence days. System is a joke. She’s a mediator that will favor the woman. Men. Avoid !

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
