Stefanie Prinsloo - Honolulu, HI

Stefanie Prinsloo is an invaluable addition to our firm. At Coates Frey & Hackett, AAL LLLC, Stefanie concentrates on family law litigation including divorce, child custody and support, post-decree enforcement, and paternity matters. Stefanie obtained her undergraduate degree from Florida State University, and graduated with magna cum laude honors. Stefanie was admitted into Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society as well as Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society. Along with her academics, Stefanie worked as a research assistant for Professor Jenifer Copp, assisting in research that focused on the impact of parental visitation rights on incarcerated parents. Stefanie’s passion for helping individuals also led her to work at Lifeline (a suicide hotline) and United Way, where she here she logged over 250 hours of service as a crisis counselor, helping individuals dealing with severe crisis (including abuse, mental health episodes, houselessness, etc.). Stefanie’s almost rabid desire “to help and to guide” will fit in very well here at CFH. After graduating from FSU, Stefanie attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa William S. Richardson School of Law, where she interned with a variety of entities, including the City and County of Honolulu Department of the Corporation Counsel and the Hawai’i Innocence Project. Prior to joining Coates Frey & Hackett, AAL LLLC, Stefanie worked as a law clerk at the famed Hamilton & Chan family law firm. While at Hamilton & Chan, Stefanie was mentored by Geoffrey Hamilton, one of family law’s most famous and longest practicing attorneys in our state. Under Mr. Hamilton’s direction and guidance, Stefanie assisted in several cases involving novel child custody issues and multi-million dollar property division issues.
