Born in Jerome, Idaho and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho, Clay is a fourth generation Idahoan, tracing his family lineage to a paternal great grandfather born at “Stricker Cabin,” a former Wells Fargo stage stop on the Oregon Trail located south of Hansen, Idaho. Both paternal and maternal sides of Clay’s grandparents’ families homesteaded on the “Twin Falls Tract,” where the “family farm” still exists.
Clay was a member of Hall, Friedly & Ward in Mountain Home, Idaho from 1993 to 2001, moving to Boise, Idaho as a member of Sasser & Inglis, P.C. later known as Sasser & Jacobson and Jacobson & Jacobson. Clay became a shareholder with Jones Williams Fuhrman Gourley, P.A. in September 2023. Clay is a member of the Idaho State Bar Association, United States District Court, District of Idaho and is a current member and past president of the Richard C. Fields, American Inn of Court.
