- Mr. Mahoney completed a three-year term on the elected Vestry (Board of Directors) of St. Michael's Episcopal Cathedral in downtown Boise. He coached his children's youth soccer teams through the Meridian Police Activities League ("P.A.L."). He is a member of the United States Golf Association, and enjoys skiing, and golf here in Idaho.

- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
