William A. Fuhrman - Boise, ID

William A. Fuhrman brings over thirty years of litigation experience to the firm. His practice includes insurance litigation, insurance coverage, bad faith and defense, aviation, products liability, and business litigation.

Bill began his legal career after working in the ski industry in Boise and Sun Valley for six years. After graduating from Boise State University, he attended the University of Idaho College of Law, graduating with highest honors. Bill was admitted to the Idaho State Bar in 1982.

Following graduation, Bill became a law clerk to the Honorable J. Blaine Anderson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. During his clerkship he had the opportunity to participate in several significant appeals, including the Oakland Raiders antitrust suit in which the Raiders fought for the right to move to Los Angeles. Bill completed his clerkship in 1984 and entered into private practice with one of Boise's largest firms.

In 1998, Bill joined Jones Gledhill as one of the named partners. Bill has tried several cases to successful jury verdict for clients such as GTE, Rubbermaid, Thyssen Krupp Elevator Company, and various insurers such as Geico Insurance Company, Aetna and Liberty Mutual. Other representative clients include United Parcel Service, CNH America (Case International and New Holland), Travelers, the Hershey Company, Sanofi-Aventis, ITW, Walgreen's, ADP Inc., Austin Mutual, Atlas Financial, and MetLife.

A member of the Idaho State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute and the American Inns of Court, Bill also enjoys the highest professional ranking available to lawyers: he is listed in the 2017 Bar Registry of Preeminent Lawyers and for several years has been included on the Mountain States Super Lawyers list. Bill is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of Idaho, the United States District Courts of Idaho and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Ninth and Tenth Circuits.

Bill brings to your service the experience of having tried over thirty cases to jury verdict, saving his clients millions of dollars in alleged damages. While representing Rubbermaid Corporation in a State of Idaho suit, Bill achieved a successful jury verdict, defeating allegations that a Rubbermaid product caused or contributed to over $3 million in damages in the Statehouse fire. Bill also successfully achieved a verdict of "no liability" on behalf of Renegade of Idaho, defeating allegations that his client caused a wildfire resulting in several million dollars in damages.
