Back in 2011 my ex almost killed me I was on life support during court it was stated that he took care of any and all medical and bills due to the injury.. this law firm knew this I let them know in court my lawyer sent the paperwork to them and I never heard from them again fast forward to today my wages are being garnished $650 a month my 16 year old son and I are going to be homeless how do I look him in the eyes and explain to him that he will have to go live in a group home and give up his life?? we are losing our place, our pets everything we finally got back our whole life and since my son cannot stay in my car with me because it's too cold he's going to go to foster care his dad passed away three yrs ago ... They are evil people full of money and greed when they see their maker and have to look him in the eye they will be judged..

I am a single mom of 2 little girls- I received notice that my wages were going to be garnished for my Ex husbands medical bills...bill that accrued AFTER we were divorced. I explained that in our divorce papers, it states that the ex-husband is responsible for his own debt (and is also $18,000 in debt in child support at this time). THIS IS NOT MY DEBT. Mark Clark and his legal team did not care, and stated that because they couldn't find my ex-husband... I was the one responsible. I am a kindergarten teacher that is living paycheck to paycheck. I am 100% the sole provider for two little girls. How is this legal!? Mark Clark and his legal team should be held accountable for their unethical practice and lack of integrity.

This is the most shady company I have ever worked with. They refuse to provide answers, try to collect twice in a week and 7 years later after 5 attempts to garnish my wages, garnished my bank account and took Federal funds and my children's personal income. He lied to the Sheriff's office and did not verify my address so they sent the paperwork I needed to the wrong address, an attempt to get away with more shady and non attorney like behavior. I had to report this to the Sheriff. The original attorney on this case, has left. Another attorney answered my attorney that does not even work with this man. I filled out a request for records on him, and I suggest everyone does the same, possibly join the fight to get this man and what he does to peoples lives out of business.

Attorney Mark Clark's Secretary "Betty" is completely unprofessional and disrespectful I am not sure how she even holds the position she currently does. I would definitely look elsewhere for an attorney as this company already has personal options and judgments about you and your case before they even know the details.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
