Consulted Attorney 2021Houses are in great demand in Idaho, and I rented mine to a single mid-age woman from Texas. I meet all her needs like new high-cost window treatments and a new dishwasher. However, she hired Bren Mollerup based on the accusation that “I hacked her computer.” The Mollerup team sent me aggressive emails asking me to do all kinds of minor repairs. For example, they demanded to fix the heather when the tenant did not fill the propane tank. I endured the abusive behavior of the Mollerup team until the tenant vacated the home. Brain refused to negotiate with me regarding 50% Of the deposit for less than a Thousand dollars. So I was forced to hire a lawyer in Twin Falls. Brian now refuses to deal with my lawyer and is asking for 100% of the deposit. With no basis for their claim as we submitted pictures of the damage. Mollerup argues that everything is wear and tear. The tenant left the house filthy. It is important to.mention that Mollerup accepted this client because alledgelly he has a personal relationship with her client. Who else will represent a Texan claiming her tenant hack her computer? And spends two months on less than $1000 dollar dispute? Madness.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
