Hired Attorney 2020-2021She will absolutely do everything that she can to waste you're time, Tee-hee inappropriately with opposing attorneys in the middle of a family court case battle and the firm that claims here will do everything it can to consume your resources while providing minimalist efforts while trying to fight for your rights for your child. Avoid at all cost her and this firm haven't been anything since their Lead Attorny died from Cancer my former representation. These people are only here to insure that the mothers get everything and a safe guard in making sure Illinois State Dispersment gets money flowing through it. Seeing as $0.66 on every dollar that passes through it gets Federall reimbursed to the involved parties from the Federal Government over the course of bounses through the year.

Hired Attorney 2022-2023Be cautious and do not work with Ms. Gonzalez. She is unprofessional and was not compassionate. She was unorganized and always missing messages, not informing me on court dates, forgetting to give me updates, and treated my case like it was not important. The way she spoke to me was completely unacceptable when I am paying for a service. She treated me very poorly as a client and would never advise anyone to utilize her or the firm that she works for. She is currently with Kraft, Wood & Kelly, LLC in Bloomington, IL.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
