Hired Attorney 2022I can only speak from my experience and I can say it definitely was not a good one. My grandparent seemed to know this particular lawyer and had some kind of friendship or awareness of each other previously. Anyway… I would end up being in a vehicle accident with this grandparent. Another car from behind had hit us. Neither of us had visible injuries. In my case I again did not have any visible/detectable injuries but was left with body pains such as pain on my left side, headaches, back and neck pain. I never really felt comfortable vibes with Robert and could not really be open with him with my experience; it did not help those in my family were not good people and for some reason had wanted me to say it was not that bad and I had a learning disability. Most things were kept hush, hush around me for some reason like every single little thing. Nothing ever went to court and when it came to the settlement money as many may know that when the individual is under the age of 18 generally and in most cases it goes into an account until they turn 18. That did not happen for me. Instead a check was made and it was made out to my dad. It was not right. He was also not involved in any way, shape, or form in the accident. He spent all of the money in less than 6 months on things just for himself. Backstory: My dad was never a good person. Neither were most in my family. Having been abused and neglected as a toddler and by the time I was 5 my dad would go on to do some of the worst things to me along with his random “buddies.” The man I was forced to call uncle/acted like he was my grandfathers caregiver/brother- not true was psychologically, verbally, emotionally and sometimes physically abuse along with other forms of abuse. While my grandfather when I was 7 would go on to do the terrible things my dad did to me. School before accident: Since Kindergarten had always been mistreated by teachers and other school staff. Never had friends. School after accident: I was labelled as emotionally disturbed and not taken seriously by school teachers and other staff over the body pains. I was no longer sent to school after 8th grade and instead kept further isolated by family in terrible ways. To make matters short is I could never use the money to help myself nor did Robert put it into an account until I had turned 18. Instead when I was 18 I had absolutely zero money not that I ever did previously either but I still was in a very dangerous, abusive and neglectful environment at the time. I don’t know why it was handled in that kind of way for my and why the check was made out in my dad’s name and he was able to get every single bit of the money. I never even knew about it until we’ll after it was all gone and in their eyes; my family that is there could be nothing done and to let it go which were the same ones that abused me for many years. Maybe the experience may be different for those who love and legitimately care and want the best for their kids and would not abuse or mistreat them/do their child wrong and would fight to ensure laws are followed especially in regards to their child/teen but I feel despite that perhaps that there may be a better attorney out there somewhere.

Hired Attorney 2006Yeah Robert Novelle also lied and changed the price on us 3 times. At the end he manipulate us to taking a horrible plea bargain because he didn't want to go to trial and "waste his time" on my case anymore. He promised the world and delivered an Egg.

Hired Attorney 2009This lawyer is very untrustworthy and he will try to intimidate you in to taking a plea deal after he gets paid in full. He will LIE and change his story 10 times in front of you and your family. He has NO respect for anyone or anything. STAY away from this unprofessional person.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
