  • $79.85 million jury verdict – Obtained as part of a trial team representing the family of a 10-year-old girl who was killed following an unauthorized Chicago Police Department pursuit in Chicago’s Auburn Gresham neighborhood. According to the Jury Verdict Reporter, the verdict is among the highest reported Illinois results for a police pursuit crash.
  • $45 million settlement – Secured for a teenage boy who suffered catastrophic brain injuries following a crash caused by an improper police pursuit by CPD.
  • $27 million settlement – Obtained for the family of a mother of six who was killed in a collision resulting from a dangerous police pursuit.
  • $22 million settlement – Secured for the family of a 25-year-old man who was killed in a West Side crash stemming from a dangerous pursuit.
  • $21.05 million jury verdict – Obtained as part of a trial team for a woman who suffered a spinal injury in a Maywood, Illinois crash.
  • $20.5 million jury verdict – Secured on behalf of a young Indiana girl in remission from leukemia who died from morphine toxicity caused by medications prescribed by her healthcare providers.

Education & Legal Experience

Mr. Boeder earned his Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from The Ohio State University in 2003 before receiving his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law in 2010.

During law school, Mr. Boeder gained valuable litigation experience through several legal positions, including serving as a judicial extern for the Honorable James F. Holderman, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and as a legal extern with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois.

Under Illinois Supreme Court Rule 711, Mr. Boeder also worked as a law clerk with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he first-chaired eleven trials and developed significant courtroom experience early in his career.

Military Service

Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Boeder served as an officer in the Army National Guard. He was deployed to Kosovo as part of KFOR (Kosovo Force), the international peacekeeping mission.

During his deployment, he commanded a platoon and served as a company executive officer, developing leadership skills and experience that continue to influence his approach to advocacy and litigation.
