Gregory M. Beck - Chicago, IL

Gregory M. Beck is a partner at Clifford Law Offices, where he represents individuals and families in complex catastrophic injury, wrongful death, civil rights, and constitutional litigation. An experienced trial attorney, he has spent more than a decade handling high-exposure cases in both federal and state courts, developing strategies for matters involving excessive force, governmental liability, and other complex tort claims.

Before joining Clifford Law Offices, Mr. Beck served as a Supervising Assistant Corporation Counsel in the City of Chicago Department of Law's Federal Civil Rights Litigation Division. In that role, he led litigation involving some of the City's most significant civil rights cases while supervising attorneys, managing complex case portfolios, and overseeing litigation strategy, motion practice, settlement evaluation, and trial preparation. Earlier in his career, he represented municipal entities and individual police officers in civil rights and tort litigation and prosecuted building code enforcement matters on behalf of the City of Chicago.

Mr. Beck is known for his disciplined approach to litigation, meticulous case preparation, and persuasive courtroom advocacy. He has extensive experience managing all phases of litigation, including discovery, expert witness preparation, dispositive and evidentiary motions, direct and cross-examinations, settlement negotiations, and trial.

He earned his Juris Doctor from Northwestern University School of Law, where he participated in the Bluhm Legal Clinic and the Center on Wrongful Convictions. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Indiana University Bloomington. Mr. Beck is admitted to practice in Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is also a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
