Overview

Ken Nazarian was born and raised in Barrington, Illinois. In 2009, he graduated with his Bachelors of Art in political science with a minor in English literature from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and then went on to attain his law degree from Syracuse University College of Law in New York. In the summer of 2010, Ken was an extern for the Honorable Robert W. Gettleman of the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. During law school, he was an active member of the Moot Court Honor Society, the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society, and the Intellectual Property Law society.

Ken has represented hundreds of clients in all areas of the law. Since joining Barney & Karamanis, LLP in 2013, Ken has attained millions of dollars in settlements for his medical malpractice and personal injury clients, while also attaining favorable resolutions for his commercial clients.

Growing up in a medical family has provided Ken with added insight and knowledge of the medical field, which aids him in analyzing the medical negligence of physicians and hospital staff. He has a proven track record of success litigating matters involving surgical complications, hospital acquired pressure ulcers, and failure to diagnose infections, joint fractures, and other conditions.

Ken uses his extensive knowledge of litigation to provide risk management support and counsel to small, mid, and large sized commercial entities, while also handling litigation for those same clients. In the past he has successfully defended an uninterruptible power supply distributor from a trade secret misappropriation claim by a competitor, which reached a mutually agreeable resolution on the eve of trial. As examples of the breadth of Ken’s experience, he has also represented a construction fence corporation, a video gaming company, a battery cabinet manufacturing company, and a medical software development company in his years of practice.

Ken strives to provide his clients with the most comprehensive legal experience to better represent their interests and ultimate hopes. He aims to give each valued client his time and attention to ensure they are comfortable and up to date during the trying times of litigation.
