Matthew D. Moyer - Chicago, IL

Matthew D. Moyer is a senior associate at Clifford Law Offices, where he represents individuals and families in wrongful death, catastrophic personal injury, transportation, aviation and medical malpractice litigation. A former federal prosecutor, Mr. Moyer brings extensive courtroom experience and investigative insight to complex, high-stakes cases.

Before joining Clifford Law Offices, Mr. Moyer served as an Assistant United States Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice in Chicago, prosecuting white-collar crime, organized crime, and drug trafficking cases. He previously served as an Assistant State's Attorney in Cook County, where he gained extensive trial experience in felony prosecutions, juvenile matters, and child protection cases. Today, he applies that litigation background to advocating for individuals and families harmed by negligence. Since joining the firm, he has contributed to significant recoveries, including a $25 million settlement for a bicyclist struck by a semi-truck, and has worked on complex aviation litigation, including matters arising from the Aeroméxico Flight 2431 crash.

Mr. Moyer earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School, where he served as an editor of the Notre Dame Law Review. He received his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Philosophy from Boston College, where he captained the university's Mock Trial Team.
