Patrick A. Salvi concentrates his legal practice in cases concerning serious personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and mass torts. Mr. Salvi has achieved record-breaking jury verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients throughout the state, including serving as lead counsel on a trial team that won an Illinois record-high $148 million jury verdict and a Lake County record $33 million jury verdict.
In 1982, Mr. Salvi founded the law firm of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. (originally the law offices of Patrick A. Salvi) in Lake County, Illinois. He is the sole owner and Managing Equity Partner of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. Today, the firm has 20 lawyers and is supported by more than 35 staff members in Chicago and Waukegan offices, including paralegals, nursing consultants, IT professionals, and administrative assistants. Mr. Salvi and his law firm have obtained more than $2.3 billion in verdicts and settlements on behalf of injury clients, including more than 350 multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements.
Mr. Salvi is a nationally recognized attorney who has been listed as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” since 2005. In 2023, Mr. Salvi was honored with the Illinois Bar Foundation’s Distinguished Award for Excellence, which recognizes an individual who has made remarkable contributions to the legal community throughout their career. In 2021, Mr. Salvi became the 26th individual to be presented with the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association’s prestigious Leonard M. Ring Lifetime Achievement Award, which honors a trial lawyer who has devoted their life and legal practice to the work ethic and high professional standards of the award’s name bearer.
In 2021, Mr. Salvi was one of only eleven attorneys throughout the country to be named to Law360’s “Titans of the Plaintiffs Bar” list. In 2017, Best Lawyers® named him the Plaintiff’s Personal Injury “Lawyer of the Year” in Chicago. He received The Jury Verdict Reporter and Law Bulletin Publishing Company awards for Trial Lawyer Excellence in 2011, 2012, 2018 and 2022.

Mr. Salvi is a former President of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and served a three-year term (2010-2012) as Chairman on the Character and Fitness, 2nd District Committee of the Illinois Board of Admissions to the Bar. Additionally, Mr. Salvi is a former Chairman (2011-2023) and current member of the Notre Dame Law School Advisory Council and is a former adjunct faculty member at the University of Notre Dame Law School. He currently serves on the American Association for Justice Leaders Forum.
