Overview

Mr. Jacobs has been practicing personal injury law since 1996. He personally handles medical malpractice, automobile, trucking, police pursuit, premises liability, product liability and nursing home negligence cases.

Mr. Jacobs grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago and graduated from Thornwood High School in 1989. He then attended Eastern Illinois University, where he obtained his undergraduate degree in 1993 and Creighton University School of Law, where he obtained his law degree in 1996. He is licensed to practice in Illinois state court as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

While in law school, Mr. Jacobs interned for the United State's Attorney's Office. After graduating from law school, he started his professional career working for a prominent Chicago personal injury plaintiff's law firm. He then went on to work for a premier Chicago defense firm specializing in the defense of physicians, hospitals and healthcare systems. It is there that he learned the techniques, tactics and insight into defense strategy. In essence, he learned "how the other side thinks". He went on to start his own law firm in 2006 where he has been representing plaintiff's exclusively ever since. Mr. Jacobs has obtained several millions of dollars in settlements on behalf of injured people in cases involving medical malpractice, wrongful death, automobile, trucking and premises liability.

Mr. Jacobs is an active member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and Illinois State Bar Association. He has been recognized by the National Trial Lawyers as a "Top 100 Trial Lawyer".

Mr. Jacobs is married with two sons and lives in the western suburbs of Chicago. He is an avid golfer and enjoys watching his sons' various sporting events and spending time with family and friends.
