Attorney Information
Overview
Robert joined Levin, Riback, & Adelman in August of 2001 and was named a Partner in July 2007. Robert has shown great compassion, determination and dedication to bringing successful results for his clients that have been injured through negligence of another party.
Through passionate litigation and negotiation, he has settled numerous cases and recovered millions in compensation for his injured clients. Robert's primary areas of concentration are representing victims of sexual abuse, construction, negligence, automobile accidents and premises liability. Robert has taken over a dozen trials to verdict.
Robert recently became licensed to practice and represent those injured in the State of Arizona. Throughout his representation of injured individuals and families, Robert has traveled the world to help his clients. He and partner Richard Levin searched the countryside of Mexico to locate a key witness for a wrongful death case to ensure a settlement.
Robert is extremely proud that he has had the opportunity to follow in the path of fellow Levin Riback attorneys by devoting his spare time to teaching future lawyers at a local law school. From 2004-2016, Robert has acted as an adjunct professor at The John Marshall Law School teaching a course on trial advocacy and advanced trial advocacy.
Prior to joining the firm, Robert worked for two years as a Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
