Tara R. Devine is a Partner at Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. and the Managing Partner of the firm’s Lake County office. She joined the firm in 2004 and became the firm’s first female Partner in 2011. Ms. Devine focuses her practice on personal injury, nursing home negligence, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and product liability cases.

Through decades of litigation experience, compassionate client advocacy, and a commitment to achieving justice for injured individuals and families, Ms. Devine has recovered more than $325 million in verdicts and settlements on behalf of her clients.

Ms. Devine has played an integral role in numerous high-profile cases involving catastrophic injuries, medical negligence, and wrongful death, including:

• $241 million jury verdict – Obtained as part of a trial team for a family whose loved one died while transporting dry ice as part of his work as a courier.
• $148 million jury verdict – Secured as part of a trial team for a young woman who was paralyzed when a pedestrian shelter collapsed on her at O’Hare International Airport. The verdict was the largest personal injury verdict ever awarded to an individual plaintiff in Illinois history.
• $115 million settlement – Obtained following an appeal of the O’Hare pedestrian shelter case, resulting in a record-setting personal injury settlement.
• $18.5 million settlement – Secured on behalf of a child who suffered a serious brain injury due to a delay in the diagnosis and treatment of meningitis.
• $1.6 million wrongful death verdict – Obtained in a case that resulted in the highest recorded verdict in Stephenson County.

During law school, Ms. Devine served as a law clerk under Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard founder Patrick Salvi Sr. After graduating and passing the bar in 2004, she joined the firm as an attorney and has continued to build a distinguished career advocating for individuals and families facing life-changing injuries and losses.
