Overview

Tom Demetrio, the nephew of named partner and firm founder, Thomas A. Demetrio, joined Corboy & Demetrio as an Associate on July 1, 2020. Tom practices in all areas of personal injury law as well as the firm’s burgeoning practice area of Business Interruption Insurance Litigation stemming from the governmental Stay-at-Home Orders put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Experience
Before joining Corboy & Demetrio, Tom honed his skills as a trial lawyer at Clifford Law Offices, where he represented plaintiffs in personal injury litigation, including asbestos lawsuits and asbestos bankruptcy claims. Before joining Clifford as an attorney, Tom worked as a law clerk at the firm from 2017-2018.

Tom worked as a Summer Associate at Arnstein & Lehr in 2017 where he drafted motions, memos and briefs for partners, including motions to the United States Bankruptcy Court.

From 2016-2017, Tom worked as a Law Clerk at Hinshaw & Culbertson where he composed deposition summaries and prepared clients for depositions. In addition, he edited and reviewed contracts, motions and briefs.
