Prior to forming Malecki Brooks Ford Law Group, LLC, Ms. Brooks joined the law firm of Momkus McCluskey Roberts LLC, as Of Counsel in the healthcare law division. Before joining Momkus McClusky Roberts LLC, she served for 8 years as Vice President and General Counsel to Saint Anthony Hospital. In that role, she was responsible for general corporate matters, compliance, insurance, litigation, risk management, medical staff matters, employee health, workers’ compensation and security. Prior to joining Saint Anthony Hospital in 1999, Ms. Brooks practiced in the Chicago office of a multinational law firm serving clients in a variety of legal matters including insurance/reinsurance litigation and arbitration as well as consumer financial class action defense litigation.
Before moving to Chicago, Ms. Brooks worked in a boutique solicitor firm in London, England, concentrating her practice on defending a wide variety of professional liability claims as well as reinsurance litigation and arbitration. Before moving to London, she was an associate attorney in the commercial litigation section of Plunkett and Cooney in Detroit, Michigan. Ms. Brooks continued to work as a registered nurse and trauma nurse coordinator at Henry Ford Hospital while attending law school.
