Overview
Raya Bogard is a transactional attorney with experience in business transactions, general corporate law, real estate, and lending. She represents businesses and entrepreneurs in a variety of business transactions including the formation, operation and sale of businesses and all aspects of the purchase, sale, lease and financing of real estate. In addition, she represents businesses, individual investors, and commercial banking lenders in the documentation and negotiation of real estate and asset-based loans.
Ms. Bogard’s prior professional experience also includes acting as the Administrative Code Rules Manager for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity while she was attending law school. In this position, Raya gained invaluable experience in legal drafting and the legislative process.
Ms. Bogard graduated magna cum laude from Illinois College in 1997 with a B.S. in Biology and Physical Education and, in 2012, was inducted into the Illinois College Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of the 1993 Volleyball Team. She graduated magna cum laude from The John Marshall Law School in 2004, whereupon she was elected to the Order of John Marshall. While in law school, Raya was on the Dean’s List and was a semifinalist in the Dean Fred F. Herzog Moot Court Competition.
A central Illinois native, she currently resides in the Village of Oak Park. In addition to her law practice, Raya serves as Trustee of her hometown church and volunteers in a number of different capacities in connection with local youth sports and schools.
