Hired Law firm 2015-2024The worst experience ever. The point person that you talk to constantly tells another lie after another lie. I don’t know much about attorney law but this lady even became argumentative when I told her that she told me something totally different. Do your research on this company before hiring them please or you will be just like all of us waiting years and even after you sign your settlement agreement the company still holds on to your settlement.

Hired Law firm 2022-2023about a year ago regarding IVC filter lawsuit after about a number of years of forgetting about it they stated they filed the suite which I was happy about. In February of 2023 I received a message that there was a settlement which made me even more happy so I called flint and asked about the settlement which they stated it was not from them I asked the young lady should I accept it which she stated NO just ingnor any correspondence since it wasn't from them which I did. Now if August of 2023 I called flint and asked for an update to which the same young lady told me that they Can't help because there was a settlement offered in February and that I should call them which I did but found out that because I never responded that I lost it I called flint back and told them what was said and I explained to her if she had not told me to ignore it I would have accepted it which she put me on hold and another person came on line and stated they can't help. Flint just totally screwed me out of a settlement with totally BAD ADVICE.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
