Hired Attorney 2018-2019Mr.Hildebrand is a one of a kind attorney. Had it not been for him fighting in my corner, the corrupt criminal justice system in Madison County would have locked me up for a few years for something that I was completely innocent of. Mr.Hildebrand dug up old medical files (for the same thing that I was being accused of causing) from a few years prior. Same chief complaint word for word in different ERs, and he proved that I wasn't even in the states of Illinois when my accuser claimed the incident happened.I recommend Tom Hildebrand for any type of case you may have. He's definitely the best attorney in the surrounding counties.

Hired Attorney 1984-2005Mr Hildebrand is Not a typical run of the mill Attorney... Mr Hildebrand is a Man of Real Integrity. If you've been Wronged in some way and really need Good, Solid and very Reliable and Honest Help with a legal issue, Tom Hildebrand is the Attorney. This Man is the best I've ever seen in the Court room Who is Consistently and very effective and logical on what the law is, that's actually the Law... Our Law's are always getting Revised and Amended, meaning Changed. How many People are there that Actually know the Changes in the Law and how Best effectively apply it??? Mr Hildebrand is the one Attorney that I know of that's actually upsetting to a prosecutors and prevailing in Court rooms because He is Definitely up to Date on what is the Law and what isn't the Law... I know whenever I have a legal issue that I don't want to lay awake at night and worry about, I have always been really fortunate to have had, Mr Hildebrand in my Corner... I Honestly can't say enough about the Man... I was wrongfully charged for a Crime I didn't commit, that if found guilty, would've ruined my life if not for Attorney Thomas Hildebrand... True story. How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
