Attorney Information
Overview
Antonio earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Illinois State University before attending the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. Upon acceptance to the law school, he was awarded the Edward T. Lee full tuition academic scholarship and was selected for the Dean’s Leadership Academy. He served three semesters as a legal extern with the UIC Veterans Legal Clinic, two as an Advanced Extern supervising other students, and completed an additional externship with the Fair Housing Legal Clinic. He also earned Dean’s List honors in 2021.
After graduating, Antonio began his legal career as a workers compensation defense attorney. His early work on the defense side gave him firsthand insight into how insurers evaluate claims, minimize injuries, and structure their litigation strategies. He now relies on that knowledge to anticipate tactics, expose weaknesses in the defense, and build stronger cases for his clients.
Antonio eventually shifted his practice entirely to plaintiffs-side personal injury, driven by the belief that ordinary people deserve someone who can protect them from insurance companies with unlimited resources and zero empathy. Clients often come to him after their lives have been turned upside down, injured, stressed, and unsure of where to start. Antonio provides clarity, communication, and a determined advocate who will not back down.
He is at his best when breaking down complex medical issues and cutting through the noise created by insurance carriers. Antonio believes clients deserve honest answers, straightforward guidance, and a lawyer who takes their problems personally. Clients appreciate that he is accessible, transparent, and unafraid to challenge bad assumptions, especially when the defense’s version of events starts drifting into fiction.
His approach to every case is grounded in a simple philosophy. Facts matter. Preparation wins. Real people deserve a fair fight. It is the same instinct that makes My Cousin Vinny a favorite of his, not for the humor but for the truth at its core that a determined attorney who understands the evidence can dismantle even the most confident opposition.
Antonio represents individuals throughout Illinois who have been harmed in motor vehicle collisions, trucking crashes, premises liability incidents, dog bites, dram shop violations, and other serious injury events. He brings to The Crannell Law Group a reputation for meticulous case preparation and client-centered advocacy.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
