Overview

Jennifer Behme attended University of Illinois at Chicago where she received a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Criminal Justice and a minor in psychology before pursuing her Juris Doctorate at St. Louis University School of Law. While there she was involved in the SLU Law Ambassadors program and the SLU Law Mentors programs and received a Certificate in Health Law.

During law school, she had the opportunity to work at Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation where she assisted indigent clients with Orders of Protection, divorces, real estate matters where she developed an interest in family law.

Since being admitted to the Illinois Bar, Mrs. Behme has practiced throughout Southern Illinois primarily in the area of family law, as well as probate, real estate, and appellate work.

Mrs. Behme has also continued her affiliation with Land of Lincoln assisting indigent individuals through pro bono referral representation. She is the recipient of the Joseph Bartylak Pro Bono Award for her pro bono work and her commitment to the St. Clair County Bar Association Family Law Seminar committee which is coordinated in affiliation with Land of Lincoln Legal Aid each year.
