Hired Law firm 2017-2023Did a horrible job representing me. His secretary didn't turn in paperwork on time which hurt my case. The office is very unorganized, and I think that it's about time to retire chester.

Hired Law firm 2012-2018Mr. Fuller was hired by my mother to do her will. We have know his family for years. I was the executor of my mom’s will because I was an only child. My mom passed in 2015. He was very rude, expecting me to know how it all worked with the court. No sympathy whatsoever. Asked me constantly for money, which he definitely got plenty of. I always paid him on time. He even lied to a family member about a document which caused problems. Thank the good Lord that we found out later. He caused a lot of heartache. He was billing me for other family contacting him during that argument. I just can’t believe someone that I respected would treat me the way he did especially during such a difficult time. I would NEVER recommend him. The sad thing is, he still is sending me a bill for a little over $100. He was more concerned with money than people. The sad thing is, he claims to be a Christian which is one of the reasons my mom hired him. Very, very disappointed. Please do not hire him.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
