Emily Rosenberger is Of Counsel in the firm’s Springfield, Illinois office. Emily brings a distinctive combination of legal, healthcare, and public-sector experience to her practice. Her background has strengthened her ability to evaluate complex situations carefully, communicate with people during challenging circumstances, and approach each matter with thorough preparation and practical problem-solving.

Emily earned her Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University College of Law, where she received the President’s Scholarship, was on the Dean’s List, and participated in moot court and client counseling competitions. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Northern Illinois University and an Associate Degree in Nursing from the College of the Albemarle. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois and is also an Illinois-licensed Registered Nurse.

Prior to joining the firm, Emily gained extensive experience in litigation, legal research, contract matters, regulatory issues, and dispute resolution. Her legal career has included roles with the City of Springfield, the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, and private law firms, where she prepared legal documents, conducted depositions, reviewed complex records, and represented clients and government entities in contested matters.

Before becoming an attorney, Emily spent several years as a Registered Nurse in correctional, corporate, and emergency-room settings. She also served in the United States Army, where she held leadership responsibilities and received the Army Commendation Medal and Army Good Conduct Medal.

Emily draws on her varied professional experiences to provide clients with a steady and thoughtful presence during uncertain times. She values listening carefully, staying prepared, and helping clients feel informed as they determine the best path forward.
