Ismail Ibrahim is a Senior Associate Attorney in the firm’s Springfield, Illinois office. Ismail brings a strong combination of litigation, negotiation, and transactional experience to his practice. Having handled matters both in and outside the courtroom, he approaches each client’s situation with careful preparation, practical problem-solving, and a focus on finding a path forward that reflects their individual needs.

Ismail earned his Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law, where he graduated in the top 5% of his class, received a full-tuition merit scholarship, and received the CALI Award for achieving the highest grade in Constitutional Law. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Illinois Chicago. Ismail is licensed to practice law in Illinois.

Prior to joining the firm, Ismail managed a caseload primarily involving domestic matters, representing clients through all stages of litigation. His experience includes securing judgments, negotiating financial support matters, handling real estate-related disputes, and working with clients from the initial stages of a case through resolution.

Earlier in his career, Ismail practiced corporate and public finance law, negotiating and closing complex transactions and advising clients on significant financial matters. He also gained experience with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Enforcement Division while attending law school.

Ismail understands that difficult legal matters can affect many areas of a client’s life. He strives to bring clarity to complicated situations, remain accessible throughout the process, and provide clients with thoughtful guidance as they make important decisions.
