Abhishek “Ab” Ramaswami is an Associate Attorney in the Employment Law and Litigation practice groups at Huck Bouma, where he counsels businesses and professionals on all aspects of employment law, non-competes, employee mobility and restrictive covenants, trade secrets, unfair competition, healthcare, and business disputes across a diverse array of industries and across multiple jurisdictions.

Abhishek counsels his clients on matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, compensation and classification issues, leave and accommodations, workplace investigations, artificial intelligence liability, workplace privacy, and exit/separation strategies. Abhishek also represents businesses in commercial litigation matters and assists clients with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment contracts, restrictive covenant agreements, employee handbooks, severance agreements, and other business-related contracts. Abhishek further helps businesses “issue spot” and identify legal and compliance risks before they escalate and helps businesses keep up to date with ever-changing state and federal laws governing the workplace.

The niche of Abhishek’s practice focuses on employment and business issues impacting the healthcare industry, including physician employment and noncompete agreements.

Abhishek is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Florida, New York, and New Jersey. A native of New York, Abhishek recently relocated to Greater Chicago from South Florida with his wife and daughter. In his free time, Abhishek enjoys sports, traveling, cooking, fitness, and the outdoors.
