Alison J. Wetzel is an experienced transactional attorney in the firm's Business Services practice group. Over the course of her career, Alison has acted as a trusted legal advisor to privately-held businesses across diverse industries, providing practical solutions and risk-balanced advice on day-to-day legal and business issues.
In her practice, Alison handles a wide variety of business transactions, including acquisitions and divestitures, commercial contracts, business planning and commercial financing transactions. She is skilled at drafting and negotiating a wide variety of complex commercial contracts, including manufacturing, supply, vendor, distributor, non-disclosure, licensing, information technology, construction, engineering services, consulting, professional services and master services agreements.
Alison is also experienced in representing buyers and sellers in acquisition and divestiture transactions, including conducting due diligence, negotiating and drafting purchase agreements and other transaction documents, and assisting with business transition matters. In addition, Alison counsels clients on entity formation matters, including entity selection, shareholder agreements and operating agreements.
Alison has served as outside general counsel to privately-held businesses in a broad range of industries, including manufacturers and suppliers, construction contractors, engineering firms, software development and information technology firms, physicians and other professionals. She is an innovative business attorney who collaborates with her clients to successfully achieve their business objectives.
Prior to joining Huck Bouma, Alison served as a Partner with the Burr Ridge law firm of Goldstine, Skrodzki, Russian, Nemec and Hoff, Ltd.
