Hired Attorney 2024I cannot emphasize enough how disillusioned I am with my experience with Brennan Phillips. After paying him a staggering $15,000, I expected at least a modicum of professionalism and competence. Instead, I was met with condescension and a lack of genuine effort to resolve my case. From the outset, it was clear that this lawyer operates on dubious principles. His tactics seemed more aligned with bribery than with the ethics of legal practice. It felt as though he was more interested in lining his own pockets than in advocating for my best interests. To make matters worse, I’ve found myself in a position where he is trying to blackmail and frame me for actions I did not commit. His threats are not only unprofessional but downright crooked. It’s astounding that someone with such a lack of integrity is allowed to practice law. It’s painfully obvious that if it weren’t for his family connections, he wouldn’t even be in this profession. His inexperience and unprofessionalism are glaring, and I can only imagine how many others have fallen victim to this shyster's tactics. If you value your case and your peace of mind, do yourself a favor and steer clear of Brennan Michael Phillips. Save your money and find someone who actually cares about their clients and upholds the integrity of the legal profession.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
