Cara Chittenden is a principal attorney at Geyer Legal Group, PC, where her practice focuses exclusively on the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, elder law, guardianships, pre-nuptial agreements, and special needs planning. Cara has practiced law in the Indianapolis area for nearly two decades. A frequent lecturer and seminar presenter, Cara has authored numerous seminars for the National Business Institute and ICLEF on estate planning and elder law topics.

Cara earned her bachelor’s degree in public health from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs and graduated from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2007. The foundational years of her career were spent handling complex family law and civil litigation matters, and this background helps her serve clients with compassion, strategic foresight, and exceptional understanding.

Cara is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, including its Estate Planning and Administration Section, and is the Past-President of the Indiana State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section. Cara is also active in the community and serves on the executive committee of the Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School Alumni Board and Board of Trustees’ Subcommittee on Education. She is a member of the Boone County Community Foundation’s Women of Impact Group and is Past-President and Board Member of the Zionsville Rotary Club.

Cara and her husband, Craig, have two children and live in Zionsville. In her spare time, Cara enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
