Overview

SCOTT P. WYATT was admitted to the bar in Indiana in 1998. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Truman State University in 1993 with his major in English and Minors in Theater and Journalism. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Wyatt was a writer/producer/director for KTVO television in Kirksville, Missouri. He obtained his law degree from Indiana University – Indianapolis in 1998, during which time he also served as a certified intern with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. Upon graduation and passing the bar in 1998, Mr. Wyatt served as a Marion County Deputy Prosecutor from 1998-2001. During this time, Mr. Wyatt was responsible for handling all aspects of criminal cases including offenses ranging from simple misdemeanors to murder. Mr. Wyatt left the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office in 2001 and joined the law firm of Campbell Kyle Proffitt LLP, where he quickly became a partner. He is one of the founding attorneys of ALTMAN, POINDEXTER & WYATT LLC, and maintains a practice that focuses on all aspects of family law (paternity, divorce, child support, custody disputes, parenting time disputes, CHINS matters), juvenile law, criminal law, expungements, specialized driving privileges, utility law, civil litigation, land use, and zoning. When not practicing law, Mr. Wyatt enjoys spending time with his Wife, Stacey, and his two children, and is heavily involved in scouting as an Assistant Scoutmaster and swimming as a sanctioned swim official with USA swimming.
