Mr. Dobosz was born in East Chicago, Indiana on September 24th 1963, graduating from Griffith High School in 1982, before moving on to study at East Tennessee State University, where he majored in psychology, and minored in political science and criminal justice. He started his academic career as a high-flyer, graduating summa cum laude in 1986, with the highest GPA in his graduating class, while acting as a member of Phi Kappa Phi.

His legal career began in 1989 when he was awarded his Juris Doctor from Indiana University School of Law, and he joined the Indiana Bar in the same year. He is now admitted to practice in the United States Federal District Court and the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.

Mr. Dobosz is dedicated to representing and counseling clients. He focuses primarily on personal injury cases, including those involving wrongful death, medical malpractice, automobile accidents, construction accidents, premises liability, and injuries arising from defective products.

He also has extensive experience in handling cases arising from worksite accidents, covering negligence of site managers and employers, as well as OSHA compliance issues, construction contracts, foreclosures, professional negligence, collections, and non-competition agreements.

In addition to personal injury cases, Mr. Dobosz is also highly skilled in all areas of estate planning, including issues with probate and elder law, real estate law, and corporate law. He has worked with countless clients to advise on managing trusts and wills, dividing assets, naming executors and beneficiaries, avoiding probate, and post-mortem estate planning. Litigation is also a strength, and Mr. Dobosz has represented clients in will and deed contests, will constructions, executor replacement, and decedent claims.

Your Profile?  Update Now

When viewing a listing, consider the state advertising restrictions to which lawyers and law firms must adhere, as well as our FindLaw.com Legal Directory disclaimer. Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
