Overview
Carey D. York is an attorney with experience in all types of legal matters, specializing in criminal defense. He is a life-long resident of Indiana and a graduate of Indiana University, both bachelor’s and doctor of jurisprudence. Carey started his legal career in the public sector, spending over eleven years at the Marion County Public Defender Agency, with more than half of that time as a supervising attorney. From there, he worked with other attorneys in the greater Indianapolis area, gaining experience in a wider variety of cases and counties, defending clients accused of drunk driving, drug charges, crimes of violence, and sex crimes. A veteran of over one hundred jury and bench trials, Carey has tried cases all over Central Indiana. He has a passion for defense and remains steadfastly committed to protecting the rights of his fellow Hoosiers.
