Attorney Information
Overview
As a former prosecutor for the Special Victims Unit in Marion County, I bring an exceptional combination of courtroom experience and a deep, empathetic commitment to individuals and families facing some of life’s most challenging situations. My years as a prosecutor provided invaluable insights and skills for navigating even the most complex and emotionally intense cases. Now, in family law, I draw upon that experience to support clients through difficult transitions, such as divorce, child custody, and other family-related disputes. My approach to legal advocacy is rooted in a dedication to achieving fair, just, and practical outcomes for each client, always balancing strong representation with compassionate guidance.
Throughout my career, I have encountered cases of varying complexity, and I understand how emotionally charged family law matters can be. Divorce and custody disputes, in particular, often bring heightened levels of stress and conflict. I am here to help alleviate that burden by being a steady advocate, providing knowledgeable counsel, and fostering a supportive environment where clients feel safe, heard, and understood. I strive to ensure that my clients' voices are always at the forefront of every decision and strategy we pursue together. My goal is to guide clients with clear, cost-effective solutions while remaining sensitive to the unique circumstances and needs of each case.
For me, family law is not simply about the legal process; it’s about creating a path forward for individuals who may be facing life-changing decisions and outcomes. Whether we are negotiating amicable resolutions through mediation or preparing for court in a contested divorce, I am here to provide the expertise and support necessary to protect my clients’ rights and promote the best possible future for them and their loved ones. Each case is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet the specific needs of my clients, working closely with them to understand their objectives and address their concerns every step of the way. Together, we work toward solutions that not only resolve immediate legal issues but also help to build a stronger, more positive foundation for the future.
On a more personal note, I was born and raised in Batesville, Indiana, and my journey in law began with a passion for advocacy rooted in my community. I completed my undergraduate degree at Indiana University, majoring in Political Science, and later attended law school at the Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, where I graduated with the honors of Barrister. Since my admission to the Indiana Bar, I have dedicated my career to serving individuals and families in the greater Indianapolis area. Currently, I live and work in Washington Township, where I continue to be an active member of the community.
Transitioning from criminal prosecution to family law, I was struck by the need for compassionate, client-centered representation in the family law field. Witnessing the profound impact that family legal matters can have on individuals’ lives, I recognized the urgent need for attorneys who not only understand the law but are also attuned to the emotional and personal toll these cases can take. This insight drives my commitment to providing empathetic and diligent representation. I work to empower my clients, helping them navigate difficult situations with clarity, strength, and the assurance that they are not alone in the process.
Every client’s case is unique, and I treat each one with the individualized attention it deserves. I believe that every person’s story matters, and I am here to listen, advocate, and champion the best interests of my clients and their families. My background in law, combined with a deep-rooted commitment to justice and fairness, has shaped my approach as an attorney and my dedication to helping clients find their way forward.
If you are looking for an attorney who will stand by your side and advocate for your rights with tenacity and compassion, I am here to provide the guidance and support you need. Family law can be complex and emotionally challenging, but together, we will work toward resolutions that promote healing, stability, and a positive future. With my support, you can face these challenges confidently, knowing you have an advocate who is dedicated to helping you achieve the best possible outcome.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
