Kaitlin Herrera - Indianapolis, IN

Kaitlin Herrera is an Associate Attorney in our Indianapolis office. Kaitlin is a native of Central Indiana, having graduated from Martinsville High School before attending Indiana University-Bloomington. Kaitlin graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington with dual degrees in Germanic Studies and English, with a concentration in Public and Professional Writing.

Kaitlin’s passion for family law was a guiding force in her decision to pursue a legal career. Kaitlin began her law school career at Indiana University Maurer School of Law in the fall of 2020, being a part of the first generation of law school students to begin their legal studies online. Kaitlin served as President of the Family Law Society at IU Maurer and volunteered for local family law focused projects during her law school career.

Prior to joining WSM Law, Kaitlin also served clients in estate planning, probate proceedings, and misdemeanor criminal defense—providing her valuable insight into the relationship between family law matters and other areas of practice.

Kaitlin believes in a collaborative approach to resolving contested issues whenever possible but will never hesitate to zealously advocate for her clients during litigation.

When out of office, Kaitlin enjoys finding joy in reading as an adult, applying HGTV inspiration to home improvement projects, hosting friends for pool days and cookouts, and catching up on binge-worthy television with her husband, Fernando, and Dachshund, Milo.
