Overview

Lyndon Small is the Managing Partner at Doyle Family Law, LLC and a dedicated family law attorney serving clients throughout Indiana. Since beginning his legal career in 2017, Lyndon has built a reputation for thoughtful advocacy and compassionate client representation in complex family law matters.

Lyndon has extensive experience handling a wide range of family law cases, including divorce, custody disputes, guardianships, paternity actions, contempt, post-decree modifications, relocations, protective orders and related family law matters.

Over the course of his career, Lyndon has successfully managed hundreds of cases. His approach balances strong courtroom advocacy with a practical focus on achieving positive and efficient outcomes for families navigating difficult transitions. He has successfully litigated several highly contested cases that have withstood post-judgment challenges at both trial and appellate levels.

Lyndon understands that the legal process can be scary, confusing, and overwhelming for many people, which is why he strives to provide honest, straightforward, and loyal representation to all his clients while advocating diligently for their best interests.

Before becoming Managing Partner, Lyndon served as an associate attorney and later as Managing Attorney overseeing family law, business litigation, and real estate law departments. In those roles, he supervised associate attorneys, developed case-management systems, and handled a substantial independent caseload while mentoring younger lawyers and supporting firm operations.

When not practicing law, Lyndon enjoys spending time with his wife and son and attending ITOWN Church in Fishers, Indiana.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
