    Hired Attorney 2019-2020
When I ask Miss Morgan to be my attorney I had been fighting for my disability for 6 years I had files and everything in hand.... I keep getting denied... Ann Morgan Claims in her ad that she will meet with you and prepare you for the hearing..... a 5 min phone call being the only time I talked to her right before the hearing is all I got from her the rest of the time when I would call her office I spoke to her security and even when asked that Miss Morgan return my calls she never did.... She said at our original meeting my case was an easy one and she would have no problem taking it.... At my phone hearing she never really asked any questions other then to the employment experience expert witness and all of her answers regarding to me were No there were no jobs that would accommodate me.... When I received my Denial letter the judge had taken almost everything I had said out of context and miss Morgan felt the decision was wrong but she wouldn't represent me in my appeal if thats what I wanted to do.... It felt a lot like she was only after the easy money....

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
