State of Indiana, Trial Court Cause No. 29D01โ1708โMCโ5640; Appellate Case No. 18S-CR-595 โ On April 18, 2019, William Webster of Webster & Garino argued before the Indiana Supreme Court, which held that compelling a person to unlock a phone or electronic device for law enforcement violates the Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination; the case was appealed after the Court of Appeals of Indiana ruled in favor of Mr. Websterโs client.
