Overview
Jim McMahon began practicing law in Algona in October 1964 with E. C. McMahon (his father) and Leo J. Cassel in the firm known as McMahon & Cassel. He has been a partner in all successor firms, including the present firm known as McMahon, Stowater, Lynch & Laddusaw.
Jim received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame in 1959 and his law degree from the University of Iowa in 1962. Following law school, he served as a Special Agent with the FBI until joining the firm of McMahon & Cassel. He is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and the Kossuth County Bar Association.
