Overview

Amelia (Ame) Mapes is a committed problem solver who combines her background in
economics and finance with common sense solutions to vexing problems. Her goal is
to work closely with clients to move beyond the dollars and cents of tax filings or
business decisions and get to the heart of matters, including legacy building.

Ame devotes time and expertise to both the Corporate and M&A practice group and to
the Tax, Trusts & Estates practice group. Ame prepares wills and trusts and assists
clients with estate planning strategies. Ame also assists nonprofits and foundations
with formation, governance, and compliance matters. Ame provides income and
business tax guidance to individuals and their organizations.

Ame joined the corporate and tax groups at Belin McCormick in 2017 after earning her
law degree, with distinction, from the University of Iowa Law School. At Drake
University, she graduated cum laude, incorporating a triple major into two
undergraduate degrees. A native Iowan, Ame grew up in Cedar Rapids.
