Attorney Information
Overview
Dillon Carpenter is an attorney at Ball, Kirk, & Holm, P.C., where he practices primarily in the area of workers’ compensation. Dillon is originally from Mason City, Iowa, and received his undergraduate education at Iowa State University. Prior to attending the University of Iowa College of Law, Dillon spent time working in the insurance industry. While in law school, Dillon participated in the Federal Public Defender’s externship program which provided valuable experience in navigating federal law and developing working relationships with clients facing difficult circumstances.
After law school, Dillon practiced almost exclusively in workers’ compensation defense for several years. This experience showed Dillon how employers, insurance companies, and third-party claims administrators take advantage of and short-change injured workers who lack competent representation. Dillon is now able to use this knowledge of the system to better represent his clients to ensure they receive all the medical care and money owed to them because of their work injuries.
