Rachael Neff - Waterloo, IA

Rachael Neff is an attorney at Ball, Kirk, & Holm, PC., where she practices in the areas of personal injury litigation, workers’ compensation, and family law, including divorce and child custody. Rachael grew up on a farm in western Iowa before graduating from the University of Iowa in 2014 with a B.A. in Sociology. In 2018, Rachael graduated from Drake University Law School with high honors. While at Drake, Rachael was part of the AAJ Mock Trial team and Arbitration team, where her Arbitration team won a National Championship in 2018. She was also a member of the Drake Law Review, a student-lawyer in the Civil Litigation Clinic, and an extern for the Honorable Justice Daryl Hecht at the Iowa Supreme Court. Rachael was accepted to the Order of the Barristers, which is a national organization that recognizes top law students who demonstrate exceptional skill in trial advocacy, oral advocacy, and brief writing. She was also awarded the Rodney L. Hudson Senior Advocacy Award, which is presented to a senior student who is judged by the moot court advisor to have given the most outstanding overall performance in moot court competitions throughout their law school career.

After passing the bar exam in 2018, Rachael practiced law for five years at a law firm in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she practiced in the areas of workers’ compensation, insurance defense litigation, and family law. Rachael received training in collaborative law in 2019. She has presented numerous times for the National Business Institute on various employment-law issues, as well as on workers’ compensation topics at the Iowa Association of Workers’ Compensation Attorneys Annual Seminar and Iowa Workers’ Compensation Advisory Committee Annual Seminar.

In her free time, Rachael enjoys spending time with her husband, dogs, family, and friends. In the fall you can find Rachael cheering on the Hawkeyes and Green Bay Packers.
