Overview
Nick Lombardi was born and raised in West Des Moines, Iowa. He attended Western Hills and Sacred Heart Elementary School before attending Stilwell Junior High School, Valley High School for a very short period before becoming the youngest student ever accepted into Walnut Creek Alternative School where he eventually graduated.
You must be thinking why would he ever put that on his bio? Why not list all the stuff normally listed on a lawyer’s website? The truth is he’s not those lawyers, he didn’t take the traditional route, he had to fight hard, hustle and scrap to get here and he’s willing to do the same for you. He’s had friends charged with crimes and end up in prison. He’s been through the windshield of a car and also had his leg almost completely severed in another accident. He knows what it’s like to sit in a hospital bed alone with the bills piling up. To have your life put on hold while you recover. He also knows what it is like, to sit in mediation and have an insurance company offer you less than your medical bills after a horrific accident. He’s been there and he wants to be there for you.
And as a side note he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Iowa State University. After business school, he decided to follow his true and natural calling by going on to Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska to obtain his Juris Doctor. After his Bar Exam, he became a licensed attorney in the State of Iowa and Federal Court. He now practices law in West Des Moines and throughout the state of Iowa representing injured Iowans and those charged with crimes.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
